Tabs is an experimental RecRoom CV2 framework that you can use to display basic text pages on any screen!
Originally designed to make simple text archives it has been adapted and updated to allow higher flexibility.
As of now the Tabs system is capable of displaying 12 lines of text across 4 text gadgets.
The user can then navigate between these lines and interact with each one of them by using an easy to use 3 button keyboard*.
The system automatically slows down when displaying large amounts of text to prevent heat overloads.
Each line can contain hidden links, so that when the user selects one they can navigate to other pages or to send signals to other circuits.
Learn the basic commands to use the Tabs system.
And then go to the next level by learning how to setup your own pages to create programs, archives and more!
You can use it in any room you want: private, public, contest, it doesn't matter.
What does matter is that the original creator ( BlueBird931 ) should be credited
in some clear way, wether it's a link button to the original invention and/or creator or by simply leaving the invetion listed in the "inventions used" tab of
the room.
For more informations on how to use my inventions feel free to take a look at the ComputerNest Term of Service.
Yes, if you create your own data chips or even Tabs compatible modules you are not only allowed to publish them, but also sell them and gain a profit.
Yes, you are allowed to edit and modify the Tabs circuit board to your pleasing.
However you are not allowed to publish your modified version and earn any profit from it.
If Tabs stops responding it means that it has encountered a fatal error caused by a heat overload or internal bug.
In that case you can try the following:
If the problem persists something probably got corrupted, in that case try replacing the Tabs circuit board with a new one and check that the data chip doesn't contain any invalid informations.
Multiple cursors can appear after spamming the "up" and "down" keys. This won't break the system but can certainly be annoying.
Usually the cursors will go away after loading a new page, but if the problem persists restarting the system should resolve the issue.
When using the Tabs system it's good to keep in mind a few rules to avoid system errors and possible problems:
